Do you remember what it was like to be a teenager?
You were transitioning into adulthood and trying to figure out who you were. You were learning how to navigate the world around you. Maybe that looked like standing up for yourself when you needed to.
And here's the thing, that doesn't stop when you reach adulthood.
You must keep advocating for yourself to succeed as you develop as an adult in all areas of life. That's why the Bold Girl Generation Mentoring Program was created - so that every girl has the skills they need to ensure they're getting what they deserve from life.
Teenage girls are the future of our world.
They're the next generation of leaders and innovators needing to be encouraged and empowered to boldly advocate for themselves within personal and professional settings. As an educator or parent, you know firsthand how important it is for teenagers to develop these skills—especially since many students lack self-awareness or boundaries when they enter high school!
When teens are not taught how to advocate for themselves in the classroom or at home, things can get complicated. Lower grades in school, lower self-esteem, and higher anxiety levels are all signs of teenagers who lack self-awareness and boundaries.
But it doesn't have to be this way.

Who We Are
Bold Girl Generation Mentoring is a school-based mentoring program designed to empower and equip teenage girls with the skills to increase their self-awareness, authenticity, and assertiveness so they can boldly advocate for themselves within personal and professional settings.
The Bold Girl Generation curriculum, passionate mentors, and engaging small group settings create an environment that empowers students to consistently advocate for themselves, no matter the setting. Throughout the school year, BGG provides a robust 16-week curriculum, group discussions, and in-school mentoring sessions conducted by experienced women leaders in the community.
What We Value
We pride ourselves on being trauma-informed professionals providing a safe environment for students to identify their strengths and weaknesses through self-reflection, learn the principles of effective communication, and cultivate resilience through self-care and stress management techniques.
By focusing on these skills, we provide our students with opportunities to:
Be more confident.
Be more authentic in their interactions.
Utilize problem-solving skills without shutting down or overreacting.
Be more assertive when they need to speak up for themselves or others.
Set goals

This program will help teenage girls develop leadership skills by experiencing how to:
Communicate effectively with others.
Take initiative.
Make informed decisions about their future.
Utilize productive conflict resolution techniques.
Increase self-efficacy skills.
Work on teams and be a part of a community.

Hello! I am Victoria Brown, founder of the Bold Girl Generation Mentoring Program. In 2022, BGG was created based on the needs of the students I educated and mentored during my career.
Too often, I witnessed young women unable to assert their needs to others, leaving them feeling powerless and frustrated. I often encouraged students to advocate for themselves by standing up for their needs. I saw them as future leaders and wanted to support them in developing the skills and resiliency needed for whatever they faced in this world.
That's why I not only created the Bold Girl Generation Mentoring Program but intentionally partnered with talented, inspiring women to support the next generation of empowered teen girls. Our goal is simple: to empower teenage girls to advocate for themselves by developing self-awareness, encouraging authenticity, and espousing assertiveness so they can show up as their best selves.

testimonials
“I have had the pleasure of observing the mentoring service, and I can confidently say that it was a great experience. The mentors, Ms.Jasmine and Coach Victoria are extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and empowering. They also create a safe space for young ladies to share their thoughts, opinions, struggles, and goals. The young ladies are learning invaluable skills such as effective communication, how to set healthy boundaries, goal setting, and self-care. The lessons are engaging and relevant to their lives and help them personally and academically. ”

"Although Mrs. Victoria has only mentored me for a short period, her program has taught me the importance of being an independent young woman and the value of putting my mental health over stressors in my life. She is a very understanding and kindhearted individual who has helped me in many ways to keep both my school life and personal life choices on track. Her advice and lessons amplify how reliable and relative she can be, and they show that she is willing to be there for you during tough times you may be experiencing. The radiant and comforting energy she shows during each session ensures that each individual is comfortable talking to her about issues that may bother them. Because of that, I look forward to seeing her every time she visits."

"Victoria has mentored my students at Clay-Chalkville High School every other week for the 2022-2023 school year. Her company is an excellent mentoring program for young ladies. The young ladies are constantly asking me when Mrs. V is returning to our school. The topics and the conversations that she presented to the young ladies was allowing them to open up and talk. She has a magical touch to have the young ladies express themselves to be better young ladies."

"My name is Samiyya, and I attend Fairfield High Preparatory School. This program really has helped me a lot when it comes to remembering my goals and learning different ways to reach them without having to stress myself out by trying to solve my problems on my own. Not only does this program help me reach my goals in life, but it helps my mental state open up and see many things so differently and want to change myself for the better and not only open up to myself but open up to others and to the ones I trust so I won't have to go through anything on my own. Ms. Jasymn is soooo helpful when it comes to comforting us and acknowledging that it is normal to feel anything we're feeling. She helps make us feel so comfortable talking to her with her great energy that she gives every time we see her!"

"We started our services at the beginning of the year to help with our girls mentoring program. Initially, I was a little nervous about how the students would respond, but Mrs. Victoria won the girls over with no problem. In the short time we've utilized these services, I have seen a positive impact on the young ladies. They care more about their decision-making and make it a point to have someone recognize their growth and maturity. Coaching with V provides a relatable and judgmental-free space for our students, and they thrive in the space."
